STRETCH FOR FLEXIBILITY AND BALANCE
Stretching increases flexibility and range of motion. If a joint is more flexible, there is less risk of injury and joint movement is much easier. After a stroke, muscle imbalance causes stiffness and weakness. Certain joints are particularly prone to stiffness. Here are a few useful stretches. (Hold each stretch about 20 seconds.)
